Location. The Las Hadas Manzanillo is positioned on a 65- hectare peninsula north of the port city of Manzanillo, Mexico. Nearby sites are Colima Archeological Museum, Colima Volcano, and the impressive La Slorenia Cave.
Hotel Features. Fine dining at Legazpi provides views of the resort grounds through arched windows. Paintings by famed artist Fernando Calderon accent the restaurant\'s white-linen service and red-and- white striped upholstered banquettes. Culinary offerings include international and seafood dishes. Los Delfines specializes in fresh seafood lunches served seaside while El Oasis touts Arabian Nights ambience enhanced by ocean sunset views. Three computers with high-speed Internet access address guests\' communication needs, and are located in the lobby area. Ample function space and fax, photocopying and printing services add to this resort\'s conveniences. A Bolivian tin magnate opened this resort to the public in 1974, having named it for the nocturnal phosphorescence of seafaring creatures that shone within the deep-sea darkness. The resort which offers two expansive outdoor pools with waterfalls and tropical islands, eight lighted tennis courts, a 70-yacht private marina and a championship 18-hole golf course. Activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, pedal boats waterskiing and a volcano tour afford ample entertainment. A gift shop displays Mexican handicrafts, resort wear and sundries.

Guestrooms. This resort contains 234 bright, air- conditioned guestrooms that are designed with private, furnished balconies. Moorish arches and marble floors enhance the guestroom\'s classic lines. Room amenities include minibars, direct-dial telephones, desks, cable/satellite television and complimentary toiletries. In-room safes are available.

Expert Tip. The dive center at the Las Hadas Manzanillo can arrange snorkeling and scuba diving courses, certification, and excursions for a fee. Tennis and golf lessons are also available at the resort for an additional cost.
